FROM THE DESK OF PRINCIPAL

An exuberant welcome to Delhi Public School family.

We live today in a world that is so very different from the one we were educated in. The world today is changing at such an accelerated rate and we as educators need to pause and reflect on this entire system of education. Are our schools well equipped to prepare our children to face challenges that the future holds?

Questions such as these are the factors that motivate us to go throughacontinuous process of reflection and hence we at DPS are implementing a well-balanced curriculum in consultation with leadingeducation experts, which focuses on education for the real world. This is to ensure that the children who walk into the portals of our school will not just love their school years but truly be prepared to face life challenges.

Aristotle ones said that “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all”. Even as we Impart education to match the advancement in technology and globalization we guide our children first with the motto of DPS “Service before Self “. We endeavor constantly to instill these qualities in our children and pride ourselves to help them grow and develop into sensitive and responsible citizens of the next generation.

To me another main purpose of quality education is character building. Children are malleable who can be shaped into persons of excellence by their teacher. As responsible teachers we have to be exemplary to our students if we want them to be assets of the society and Nation. I feel it is important for every child be encouraged to perform to their fullest ability and due importance should be given to learning in areas beyond academics.

We want to mould a generation who can serve and succeed not only in their respective careers but also in serving humanity and develop empathy and sensitivity towards the world at large. For inculcating the true spirit of humanness, I wish to create an atmosphere where the students may grow with the true spirit of tolerance and respect for all religions, reverence for elders, sensitivity to their cultural heritage and courage to face the challenges in life. Let us commit ourselves to pave the path for the promising upcoming generation.
